Welcome to Fairyland

Our music room has truly been a work in progress since we purchased our home in 2011. Interestingly enough, it took us about halfway through the house shopping process when Ben and I entered a home that had a dedicated music room with a Steinway grand to realize that we, too, wanted a music room.

To give you an idea of our humble beginnings with this room, here is what the room looked like with our home's previous owners.

Clearly, we had our work cut out for us. This is how the room looked two days into moving into our home, August 2011.

In October 2011, the "rescue piano," as we so fondly called it, arrived on the back of my dad's trailer. After a dramatic move, it arrived in the home.

When I initiated the beginnings of a piano studio in 2013, we decided to add a few pieces of furniture and some finishing touches to make the room comfortable for my piano students and their parents.

Now, in 2018, I can finally say that this room is MY FAIRYLAND!
